I am the kind of guy who believes every car has a soul. To me, a car is more than just a perfect machine, it is also the extension of the driver, and it’s own entity.
Every car has a set of emotions and behaviors, and these can be exhibited through it’s looks and character on the road.
And when it comes to character, nothing quite does it for me like the dodge challenger. It is what I believe to be a moderately intelligent, handsome high school jock would be if he were a car. Sure, he may be hated by most, especially those who are friends with his popular rivals; Mustang and Camaro, but he does most things as well as they do, and some things better.
It is the underdog of the Muscle car world in the modern age, where things like economy matter, and that’s why I love it.
It has no place. no right to exist, and that’s what makes it awesome.
To me, this car feels as if it knows that, and doesn’t give a single flying fuck. It’s here to deliver grins whenever it can, and to flip the bird to it’s rivals when it does something better.
I feel as if this car is kind of like me. An underdog of sorts, but one who’s okay with being the weird one from time to time, and who doesn’t care what others think of him.
The challenger is a classy machine, with what I believe to be a timeless design, and this stirs a lot of emotions, good emotions within me.
It’s all the good of yesteryear, brought to today, which is why to me it’s the most perfect muscle car.

I believe no car has soul, and there’s nothing wrong with that. When you think about it, a car is a cold machine. It’s purpose is to turn flammable liquids into torque that moves us places. Sure, there’s motorsports, but lest we forget why the car was invented in the first place: to replace the horse.

I thought it was to replace to train? And for the rich to use to run over the Irish

A car has the soul of its owner. Whatever we want to see in a car is its soul. Personally I liken them to dogs; obedient and faithful if you treat them well, and provide a consistency in the ever changing world...unless of course you own something British...

I want a Challenger in B5 Blue to commute with. Nothing crazy, just the 5.7 and light on the options. It’s such a charming old-school muscle car with no sporting pretensions. The 2015 refresh gives it the finishing school that it needed.
So much win in those taillamps.

My WRX had a soul. My wife’s minivan not so much

That is an interesting way to look at it. But then that would mean that no car can be fun for intangible reasons. To me, soul means the things that make a car fun, but cannot really be explained on paper. If you ignore that cars have souls in that sense, then everything just becomes a matter of more horsepower equals more fun, which is not always the truth.

I can enjoy any car, but I especially enjoy any car with some sort of soul. An easy car to pick on, the Toyota Camry, can arguably be said to have no soul. Objectively, a Camry is a great car. High fuel efficiency, lots of space, more than adequate power, and comfort on the road. Plus you get ironclad reliability. However, it does not feel invigorating. There is nothing that screams “DRIVE ME” when you use the car. It is a simple and efficient tool, cold and calculated to be the best at being a normal car. To me, a car’s soul is what makes you want to drive the car for no reason. And that any drive to anywhere is fun. You don’t have to drive it at 9/10ths all the time, the fun is always there and always brings you back for more.

B5 Blue is a very good looking color, and the car looks great.
Almost as good as an original, or 71-72 GTX or Road Runner.
